Season & Prize Rules

The seasonal leaderboard and its prizes are run by Genelation Studios, Johannesburg, South Africa. These rules are the official competition rules in terms of section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and are available free of charge on this page.

Entry is free and automatic for every approved member of the Genelation Steppers community. No purchase is required to earn Gen Points or to win. Employees and immediate family of Genelation Studios, and the administrators of this platform, may appear on the leaderboard but may not win prizes. Winners under 18 receive their prize through a parent or legal guardian.

Gen Points are awarded by administrators for real participation, for example attending photo day or an event, taking part in a shoot or challenge, and referring a new member who joins and attends photo day. Points are recorded in your points history so you can see where every point came from.

Each season runs for the dates shown on the Leaderboard page. Standard prizes are R2,000 for first place, R1,000 for second and R500 for third, unless a different prize is announced for that season. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for anything else.

Winners are the members with the highest verified Gen Points total at the moment the season closes. Where there is a tie, the member who reached that total first wins. We verify all point awards before announcing results, and our decision on verification is final. No correspondence about individual point awards will be entered into after results are announced.

Fake accounts, false or self-referrals, vote manipulation, harassment of other members, or any attempt to game the points system results in the removal of points and disqualification from the season.

Winners are contacted on the phone number or email on their profile within 7 days of the season closing and must respond within 14 days. Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer into an account in the winner's name (or the guardian's name for a minor) within 30 days of the winner supplying correct banking details. Unclaimed prizes after 30 days are forfeited and may be awarded to the next-ranked member.

Winners agree that their name, profile picture and ranking may be announced on this site and on our social media. Any further promotional participation is voluntary.

We may change, suspend or end a season for reasons beyond our control, and will announce any such change on this site. Taxes or bank charges on a prize are the winner's responsibility. Entering means you accept these rules, our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
