Last updated 2026-09-13 · Genelation Studios (Genelation Steppers), Johannesburg, South Africa

1. What you are agreeing to

By accepting this release at sign-up, and by attending photo day or a community shoot or event, you give Genelation Studios permission to photograph and film you, and to use those images and recordings as described below.

2. How the images may be used

  • Your profile picture and gallery on this website
  • Genelation Studios and Genelation Steppers social media and marketing
  • Portfolio, exhibition and press use showing our work
  • Community announcements, leaderboards and event recaps

We will not sell your images to a third party, licence them to a brand campaign, or use them in a way that suggests you endorse a product, without asking you separately and agreeing any fee in writing first.

3. Ownership and credit

Copyright in the photographs and video stays with Genelation Studios or the photographer. You may post your images on your own social media with credit to Genelation Studios. You may not edit them beyond basic cropping, apply heavy filters, remove watermarks, or sell or licence them.

4. No payment

Unless we agree otherwise in writing for a specific paid job, this release is given without payment, in exchange for the images and the exposure that membership provides.

5. Members under 18

A parent or legal guardian must give this consent on behalf of a member under 18, using the consent section at sign-up. Their name, phone number and the date of consent are recorded. Minors will not be photographed in revealing, suggestive or intimate styling of any kind. A parent or guardian is welcome on set and may withdraw consent at any time.

6. Withdrawing consent

You (or your parent or guardian) may withdraw this release at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp. From that point we stop all new use and remove the images from our website and our own social media within a reasonable time. We cannot recall material already printed, published by third parties, or shared by others.

7. Respect and safety on set

You can decline any pose, wardrobe or concept at any point without explanation. Nudity or implied nudity is never part of community shoots. Report anything that makes you uncomfortable directly to us on WhatsApp; complaints are handled confidentially.
